Consortium

The IMPACT Consortium comprises 8 partners from 6 countries, including SMEs, Universities, one Large Company and a Public Body. The composition of the Consortium reflects the inherent intercultural and interdisciplinary approach of the project:

  • The Consortium includes entities that will exploit the results of the project during their day-by-day-activities (i.e. port authorities, railways and airport operators), provide their operational knowledge, and support the evaluation, application and dissemination of project results through coordination activities in their sectors.
  • The participation of SMEs ensures flexibility, innovation and creativity.
  • As many countries as possible are involved, to be representative of the European multi-cultural environment.
  • The project gathers an extensive expertise in different disciplines, from psychology, sociology and anthropology, to safety, security and emergency management and from computer-science to communication and event organization. Operational and regulatory knowledge is also granted.

Deep Blue (IT)

Project Coordinator

Deep Blue will perform the overall Project Co-ordination and will manage several activities, including the Dissemination, communication and exploitation of project results and the development of the Multicultural training package.

PROPRS (UK)

PROPRS will lead the Multicultural risk assessment definition and implementation activities and will contribute to many project tasks with its expertise in security and safety in the transport domain.

University of Leeds (UK)

University of Leeds will be responsible of the definition and application of the Psycho-social and cross-cultural theoretical framework of crowd behaviour and management.

Stichting VU-VUmc (NL)

Stichting VU-VUmc will lead the Behavioural modelling and simulations research strands and will exploit the obtained results in the definition of an Emergency communication framework.

Varna University of Management (BG)

Varna University of Management will contribute to the definition of the Psycho-social and cross-cultural theoretical framework through an extensive data collection campaign and the analysis of the data collected.

Anadolu University (TR)

Anadolu University will contribute to many project activities as airport domain expert, and will be responsible for the Coordination and networking activities with transport and security stakeholders across Europe.

Maritime Office Gdynia (PL)

Maritime Office Gdynia will contribute to many project activities as maritime domain expert, and will support the Coordination and networking activities with transport and security stakeholders across Europe.

Nuovo Trasporto Viaggiatori (IT)

Nuovo Trasporto Viaggiatori will support many project activities as railways domain expert, and will contribute to the Coordination and networking activities with transport and security stakeholders across Europe.
